VPLS on SRX-650\. Two vpls interfaces witch same ID conected to one switch.



  • Hi,

    I’ve got network (in a lab) consist of 3 routers (2SRX-650 and 1J-2350). I succesfully have set VPLS instace (please check out my configs). Everything works great. Then I was trying to setup two vpls interfaces (with same Vlan id) to the switch, so I acctually I’ve made a loop. Switch has the spanning tree enabled, but After I did that, broadcast storm appeared. In documentation, there is a mention, that bpdu is forwarding thruu vpls, in case of not proprietary BPDUs. We used EX-4200 a also tried Edgecore ES3528M ,but no difference. Could someone has the same experience, or just my config is slightly wrong.

    I’ve got 10.0 Junos on SRX machines and 9.6R4.4 on the J-Series router.
    I’ve got 10.1 on the EX switch. (don’t know about edgecore)

  • This is called a redundant psoudowire. The documentation for how to do this between the PE and CE is here.
