SNMP Trap process

  • Hi,
I am currently writing a thesis on performance resources a trap and a poll takes up on different devices,
I have a Juniper srx240 and it’s trapping and polling just fine. Thing is when i try to see any difference in cpu utilization during an snmp trap or poll i get 0.00%.
When we tried this on a Cisco router we got atleast 0.49% during the Trap. So i have a couple of questions actually.
What processes is used by SNMP in the srx240? (Does Traps use another process than snmpd?)
Is there a way to get more precise information on the CPU utalization than/ or from either the top command or the ‘show system processes extended’?
Appreciate any help with the thesis.

    Best regards,
    Christian
