Changing IP Block on SSG Interface

So my ISP has handed us a new IP block. Currently they are routing our old IP block and our new IP block down the same connection. I was wondering if there was a gradual way of transitioning our internal equipment to the new IP block to not cause any major outages.
I was thinking I would:
- Create a subinterface on the interface where the internet is connected with the new addressing scheme.
- Incrementally flip over MIPs and DIPs to the new outside addressing scheme as required.
Does this sound like a valid plan? Any caveats anyone can think of?
