Mail server behaind NS-204

  • Hello!
I am currently using NS-25. It is with single external IP address. I published multiple services on that IP: HTTP, SMTP, FTP - all on same internal server.
Now I am planing upgrade to NS-204. I will have a second external IP and will use it to publish same services.
Can you advice how to configure device so that incoming and outgoing IP of the published SMTP are same.
For example: IP addresses are 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2 I will publish mail.domain.com=10.1.1.2 and I want outgoing connections of MAIL to be made from same IP.

  • IP address are for example: external 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2; Internal router interface 10.1.1.1 /24, mail server 10.1.1.2. I need to publish SMTP, POP3, IMAP, WEB.

  • Hi,

Could you be more specific with your requirements. As you explained, it seems that you want to use a 10.x.x.x IP which is a private IP which cannot travel over the internet.

It would be better if you can help with a small network diagram or a detailed explanation about the same.

    Regards,

    Arvinder
