Unsetting ip-classification via CLI

  • Hello all, 😄

I need help unsetting an ip-classification via CLI.

I currently wish to remove only one ip-classifcation and have several associated with the Zone/Vsys.

    When I use the command:

    unset ip-classification ?

it explains the next argument needs to be the “mode.” I am unclear as to what “mode” its looking for.

I have tried a number of arguments such as vsys, range, the vsys’s name etc. However, none fo these are the “mode” type it is looking for.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thalrok

  • Well, I got the green light to contact Netscreen’s support line. Working in a large company requires several days worth of approval gathering

    Solution:

I was thinking I would have to use the syntax:

    unset ip-classification “mode” <a.b.c.d>/ <num>net vsysname

As I stated earlier, I got confused on what “mode” it was looking for, when in fact, it wanted me to use the word mode:

unset ip-classification mode <return>Which is supposed to take you into a sub menu to manage ip-classification. However, the tech I was working with said he wasn’t familiar with that feature.

What we actually did to fix it is:

unset zone zonename ip-classification net <a.b.c.d>/ <num>Hopes this will help someone in the future :P</num></a.b.c.d></return></num></a.b.c.d>
