Help Please: NS208 - with 2 Cisco routers

  • I have a Netscreen 208.  I currently have Ethernet 7, routing all traffic on my LAN out that interface.  I have currenlty configured another Cisco Router and want to route some IP traffic out Ethernet 6.  Example:
all 192.168.1.0/24 goes out Ethernet 7
I want all 192.168.2.0/24 got out Ethernet 4
Ethernet 1 is the interface for 192.168.1.0/24
Ethernet 4 is the interface for 192.168.2.0/24
I have no routing protocols,  I am doing very thing static.
both cisco routers are on two differnet ISP.
thank you for anyones help, I can give out more info if needed.
    Thank you

Not sure what screenos supports source-based routing (5.0-5.1?)

but when you upgrade to 5.1 you can also use ECMP. this will loadbalance your traffic over the 2 isp links (round-robin)

look this feature up in the c&e guide.

  • From what I read, I need to do source-base routing, but I don’t see that option in the WEBUI.  It is in the CLI.  I have ver 4.0.3r8.0.  Does 4.0.3r8.0 support source-based routing ?
