Error Code: nc.windows.app.1040

I am getting this error from Network Connect. I have made sure plug and Play is enabled but this makes no difference:
**Network Connect has detected that Plug and Play has been disabled on your computer. Your system does not currently allow certain components of Network Connect to be installed on your computer. Please refer to the secure gateway online documentation for instructions on how to turn on plug and play.
Error Code: nc.windows.app.1040**
I can’t find anywhere in the documentation about this error
Any suggestions as to why this error is occurring?

Start > Run > services.msc
Look for the Plug and Play services and start it, then try a login again. If it fixes it set to “automatic”.
