Critical error with LDAP group login
This is an old Neoteris box we have on evaluation; system version 5.5r1 build 11711.
Trying to log in authenticating against an LDAP group causes the following:
1/ Response “The server had an internal error”.
2/ User log shows successful login.
3/ Event log shows (example):
Critical ERR10073 2007-05-18 16:17:15 - ive - [127.0.0.1] Root::System() - Trace Info : * assertion in assert.cc:281, void DSLogSignalHandler(int), SIGSEGV, 21 frames /lib/libc.so.6 [0x2dd0a1d8]
then a detailed description.
Any clue as to whether my config is causing this or an actual bug would be welcome, thanks. Using LDAP groups must work if we are to buy this product.
Yo - i love that ldap browser, too! Great tool, and its for free.
Just to close the thread, I had some further debugging to do on this and worked it out using a free LDAP browser:
Good tool, has helped me out many a time.
That’s kicking, spaceyfreak! In my group membership fields, I had “cn” as my member attribute, not “member”. Fixed, thanks very much.
Oh, i had this critical error, too before some time.
That happens when the ldap query is not ok - dont ask me why!
When the LDAP query is ok, you will have no problems.
Watch here in this forum for LDAP Authentication, there is a configuration screenshot howto configure LDAP auth.
